Cultivar: Okumidori
A prized Japanese, single-cultivar matcha known for its vibrant, deep green color, smooth, creamy & nutty flavor profile with low bitterness. Registered in 1974, it is a hybrid of Yabukita & Shizu-Inzatsu 131, favored for its high chlorophyll & umami-rich amino acids. Originally developed in Shizuoka, it is now widely cultivated in Uji (Kyoto), Yame & Kagoshima.
